What We Do
The primary activity of TASHPUS is to help the poor and underserved areas in Sierra Leone with specific focus on rural communities to access quality health information, low cost health care and basic clinical and, hospital services by supporting local projects, organizations and health care facilities that provide healthcare services to low income families in the rural areas. TASHPUS shall provide medical equipment and supplies; medication, medical expertise, education and training to projects, organizations and community clinics in the rural areas of Sierra Leone. These services will be provided at no costs to the recipients.
To carry out this mission, the organization will engage in the following activities:
Past Activities:
- Several of the founding members have participated in major medical missions to Sierra Leone since 2005 to provide free medical services and supplies in Rural Freetown (Western Area), Lungi (Northern Province), MatruJong (Southern Province), Pepel (Northern Province), Mabonto(Northern Province) and Magburaka(Northern Province).
Current Activities:
- Since its inception in October 2014 there have been twice monthly teleconferences.
- Articles of incorporation registered in the State of Delaware
- An executive and board of directors formed
- Bylaws adopted
- Website established
- Bank account established with initial deposit
- Member registration ongoing
- A successful fundraising inaugural dinner dance done in September 2015

We have been gearing our organization along with volunteers and medical professionals to fight disease in all community levels.
Clinical and Surgical Outreach
We aim to equip local healthcare workers in Sierra Leone through medical missions at The Association of Sierra Leonean Health Professionals in The US.
Train Healthcare Workers
The Association of Sierra Leonean Health Professionals in The US conducts clinical and surgical outreach programs through medical specialists who travel to remote health facilities throughout Sierra Leone.
